  • Rinse rice. Soak it in water to cover for at least 1 hr and up to 24.
  • Drain, then wrap in cheesecloth. Put in a steamer above boiling water. Steam for about 30 minutes until tender.
  • Toss cooked rice with coconut milk and nam pla. Rewrap and steam (or microwave) for 5 more minutes to reheat.

  3. This was a little involved for sticky rice but placed along side left over recipe #405625, it was delicious. The wrapping in cheesecloth was a little difficult for me because of the heat and I was very hesitant to wrap it after mixing in the coconut milk and fish sauce, but wanted to follow the recipe directions. I didn't care for the coconut milk in the rice by itself, but mixed with other Asian flavors it was great. Thanks for sharing Debbie. Made for ZWT 6 :)
